My most noticable scar extends from just below my jaw line to the hollow of my neck. This definitely was not a planned surgical procedure, but would become a total surprise to me as I awoke from a simple day surgery for a hernia repair. Upon awaking to my surprise, I found out that there had been a terrible mishap in the operating room. I was dropped from the operating table during positioning for the hernia procedure. That procedure was cancelled, even after being prepped and opened for the operation, then dropped to the floor.
My head hit the cement floor, which in turn damaged the disks and vertebraes in my neck region. I hung from the chained stirupps on my left leg for an amount of time that could not be distinguished, but was approximated at 30+ minutes.
