About My Personal Life Teach Jouranlism, English and Public Relations at Platte County R-3 High School in Platte City, Missouri. Teach a grammar/writing class at MidWestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and am halfway through earning a Masters in Education.After high school, I joined the U.S. Navy and went to Texas where I met and married my husband John in 1980. We were stationed in Washington D.C., where I worked at Naval Security Station and the Pentagon. Upon my daughter Belinda's (12/28/80) birth, I entered the active reserves and played until my son, John J. III (3/28/81) was almost three. We spent a year at the Presidio in Monterey, and three years in Augsburg W. Germany. At the end of that time we relocated to Hannibal, Missouri. Since then we took a brief hiatus (92-96) to Bloomington, Indiana, and then settled here in Kansas City (for the time being). We don't really know what we'll do when we grow up--but it's been fun and we have two very darling, brilliant, intelligent,
