About My Personal Life I graduated from Baylor in 1974 and University of Houston Law School in 1976. Returned to Tyler in 1978 and have been practicing law here since. Currently a managing partner with Buchanan Kent. I am board certified in personal injury trial law and defend doctors and other health care professionals in medical malpractice litigation. I have been married twenty-five years to Cynthia who is Judge of the 114th District Court here. My oldest son Drew is in Boston College and my other two sons (Jarad and Wayne) are students at T.K. Gorman High School.
