I regret to inform you that Diana Mares, graduating class of 1973, passed away on January 4, 2007. She battled colon cancer for almost 2 years. She taught elementary school in Rialto California for 21 years. Her last 13 were in Kindergarten. She was adored by her students and admired by their parents for the endless love and energy she showed while teaching. She loved "her babies" as she called all her students...even when they came back from high school to see her. She leaves behind her husband, John Barilone, (They were married for 28 years), and her daughter, Stacy, and son, Jonathan, her mom and dad, Susie and Ernie Mares, sister, Evelyn Suplee, and brother, Bill Mares. Truly, this world lost a great woman in Diana. However, heaven gained a great teacher. She loved God with all her might right up to the end. We will miss her very much.
