Getting to and from School I was 4th one of 6 girls in my family. Some have passed on with my folks. We lived about 10 miles from Tofield in a community called Makenzie where I went to school. We lived 2 and a 1/4 miles north from the school and walked most of the time. Sometimes a neighbour would come by on a sleigh or wagon and let us ride on it if we all behaved, if not he'd make us get off and walk.
