A few days ago I went to the local Goodwill store and bought an old multi-band radio from the 70's that still works, a Worldstar Mg-6001. It tunes with analog slidebar. It picks up shortwave, cb, am and fm, 154-174 mgz, and low band tv, and airband. I do hear 2 way police signals on it as well as aircraft pilots and airports, anc cb-ers, and worldwide entertainment broadcasts on it. I only paid $24.99 for it and without sales tax. If I got it anywhere else I would have paid $100.00 for it or more. I hope to start a hobbie collecting radios like that. Goodwill is a good place to start.
