About My Personal Life After graduating from Valparaiso University in Indiana with a B.A. in English/biology, I earned an M.A. in creative writing and literature from Kansas State University. I married Kai Draper, a professor at K-State, and have lived in Manhattan, KS ever since. I currently work part-time for an environmental consulting firm doing technical writing (for EPA) and part-time as an academic advisor for K-State.
